We get asked this most weeks, so let's clear it up properly.
Kränzle's HD 7/122 and HD 10/122 are our two best-selling portable pressure washers. They look almost identical, they're priced close together, and they run at the same 120 bar. The difference that actually matters is water.
The real difference: how you get your water
HD 7/122 — 7 litres a minute, 1400 rpm motor. This one self-primes. It'll pull water straight from a tank, a drum, or an IBC, even lifting it from around 1.5 metres away. That's why it's the one most mobile valeters run off their van. It's also lighter on power, so it'll happily run from a small generator or an extension lead without tripping anything.
HD 10/122 — 10 litres a minute, 2800 rpm motor. That's roughly 40% more flow, so noticeably faster cleaning. The catch: it needs a mains water feed, not a tank. If you've got a yard tap or you're working somewhere with mains water and mains power, this is the one that gets the job done quicker.

Neither one is "better." It's about what water and power you've actually got on the job.
Now the bit that actually catches people out: D10 and D12
This is separate from which machine you own, but it decides which spares fit it.
Kränzle's quick-release accessories come in two connector sizes: D10 and D12. They are not interchangeable without an adapter.
- D10 fitting is used on our K 1050 home range machines.
- D12 fitting is used on both the HD 7/122 and the HD 10/122. They take the exact same accessories, guns, lances, and quick-release fittings as each other.
So if you own an HD 7/122 or an HD 10/122, you're shopping the D12 range, not D10. We've seen customers order a D10 snow foam lance for their 7/122 and it simply won't clip on. An adapter (order no. 12436) exists if you ever need to cross the two, but for day-to-day spares, match your machine to the right letter and you'll never have the wrong part turn up.
Quick way to check
Look for the model number on your machine's data plate or your original invoice. "7/122" or "10/122" means you're D12. "K 1050" anywhere in the name means you're D10.
